Are you an organised, proactive professional looking to play a pivotal role in the future of healthcare research? We are seeking an individual to provide high-level administrative and project leadership within our Research & Development (R&D) department.
This is a dual-impact role: you will serve as the backbone of our Senior Management Team while leading the operational delivery of the prestigious NIHR BioResource project at OHFT.
The ideal candidate is a "fixer" who can balance the needs of senior executives with the granular details of clinical research operations. You should have:
-
Proven experience in high-level administration or project management, preferably within an NHS or research environment.
-
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
-
Exceptional communication skills to act as a bridge between national teams and local clinical staff.
-
Meticulous attention to detail when handling governance and documentation.
-
The ability to multitask in a fast-paced, evolving research landscape.
Main duties of the job
Strategic Support & Leadership
- Executive Liaison: Provide high-level administrative and project support to the R&D SMT, ensuring their strategic priorities are met.
- Team Management: Provide professional leadership and line management to the R&D core administrative team, fostering a culture of high performance.
- Process Improvement: We don’t just want you to follow workflows—we want you to improve them. You will be expected to proactively suggest and implement ideas to increase departmental efficiency
NIHR BioResource Project Coordination
- Operational Lead: Act as the central administrative hub for the NIHR BioResource at OHFT, overseeing day-to-day delivery and workflow management.
- Governance & Compliance: Maintain robust governance and meticulous documentation standards to ensure research integrity.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary bridge between clinical staff, researchers, governance officers, and the national NIHR BioResource teams.
