We are looking for a full-time Assistant Psychologist to join our team within Getting More Help South CAMHS in Oxfordshire. We are passionate about delivering high quality, person-centred, safe and effective care. Children, young people and their families are at the heart of everything we do. We are a multidisciplinary team, serving parts of Oxford and the south of the county and our team base is located in the heart of Abingdon, with the opportunity to travel to other sites across the patch to provide care in local communities.
The role is very well-established within our team and provides a mix of direct clinical work (assessments and interventions, under supervision), group work, contributing to team meetings, service development and research. There is weekly clinical supervision provided by an experienced clinical psychologist, opportunities to participate in other supervision and support spaces within the team and dedicated CPD time. We regularly have trainee clinical psychologists on placement and are happy to support those wishing to pursue a career in clinical psychology.
Main duties of the job
The Assistant Psychologist’s role will primarily be to support and enhance the professional psychological care of clients within the service. This is likely to include assisting with assessments, providing psychological interventions planned with, and under the supervision of, a qualified Clinical Psychologist, supporting group work, undertaking clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of statistics / outcome measures, development of audit and/or research projects, teaching and project work.
