Are you a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) seeking a new opportunity to develop further?

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Nurse Lead to join our award nominated CAMHS Hospital at Home Online Eating Disorder Service. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a leadership role that combines clinical excellence, team development, and service innovation.  You should have strong leadership and communication skills, be confident in managing clinical risk and support staff development, with the ability to work early (08:00-16:00 hrs) and late (12:00-20:00 hrs) shifts Monday to Friday.

The service is fully remote, meaning that the post holder will work predominately from home.  Therefore, a private and confidential space is required.  You will need the ability to travel to Trust sites for face-to-face mandatory training as required, and for team away days twice a year.

Main duties of the job

You will act as a clinical leader and role model, supporting the nursing team through supervision, education, and development alongside other responsibilities:

·       Lead on quality improvement.

·       In conjunction with the MDT, conduct initial assessments and care planning.

  • Develop risk management and crisis plans.
  • Facilitate clinical sessions with families including parent support, young person 1:1’s and meal support.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, community services and other agencies.
  • Maintain accurate records and ethical practice.
  • Support learning from incidents and complaints.

Essential criteria

  • Registered Mental Nurse
  • Mentorship qualification/training

Desirable criteria

  • Leadership qualification/training
  • masters qualification/ post graduate studies related to role

Essential criteria

  • Experience and understanding of acute in-patient care - min 2 yrs at Band 6
  • Demonstrates background of leading audit and developing nursing care and understands clinical governance
  • Competent in clinical risk assessment and management and leading complex decision making

Desirable criteria

  • Demonstrates skills in leading and managing staff.
  • Demonstrates the ability to write succinct and clear reports following complaints and learning from incidents with the ability to implement these findings.

Leadership skills

Essential criteria

  • Experience of leading on QI and/or service improvement
  • Experience at Band 6 or higher within inpatients

Desirable criteria

  • leadership qualification or training
  • Level 2 or above QI training
