If so, the Buckinghamshire CAMHS FIRS service has a great opportunity for you! We're looking for a Associate Cognitive Behaviour Therapist to join our team on a substantive basis.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be based in South Bucks (High Wycombe).  The post holder will be expected to demonstrate particular expertise in relation to working with young people using CBT both independently and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. 

In addition to direct clinical work involving assessment and intervention including key working, there will be the opportunity to develop skills and experiences in working with more complex presentations as well as a broader range of core skills such as consultation, supervision, and service evaluation. 

There are professional links within disciplines across Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, with structures in place for supervision and governance arrangements.  There are strong links with local training courses.

  • Experience of paid or voluntary work in a clinical, community or clinical-academic setting exposing the person to client groups and service settings directly relevant to the delivery of psychological therapy in mental health settings. This experience can be gained in a range of contexts; including NHS or University settings, the voluntary sector or organisations affiliated to the NHS.

Knowledge

Essential criteria

  • Knowledge of moderate-severe mental health presentations and the associated treatments as part of an MDT
