Are you organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting healthcare services? We are looking for a dedicated Senior Warehouse Assistant to join our team and play a vital role in the safe and efficient distribution of medicines and pharmaceutical products.
As a Senior Warehouse Assistant, you will provide essential support to our pharmacy operations, delivering a level of service comparable to that of an entry-level Pharmacy Technician. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will contribute to the accurate wholesale and distribution of prescription medicines and other pharmaceutical products, helping to ensure patients receive the care and treatment they need.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for storage and distribution of pharmaceutical products according to local SOPs and the terms and conditions of the Wholesale Dealer’s Licence.
· Ensure all pharmaceutical stock is kept in the correct environmental conditions and keep records in accordance with department SOPs. Notify a Senior Technician (Procurement or Quality Manager) of any environmental problems immediately (i.e.’ fridge or air-conditioning failure).
· To assemble picking lists, and to ensure that products are distributed in appropriate containers. This will involve moving of heavy items to the delivery area as appropriate.
· Receive and store pharmaceutical stock to a high level of accuracy to maintain accurate stock levels and assist the Deputy Store Managers in the effective, timely and cost-efficient supply of medicines
